Can I file a dispute to remove accurate info from my credit report?

Updated June 18, 2026

No. Accurate information cannot be removed by filing a dispute.

We're required to report your account and payment history correctly to credit bureaus. If the information is accurate, it will stay on your report.

If you file a dispute, we will review it and share the results. But submitting the same dispute again without any new information won’t change the outcome.

And always be cautious of any “credit repair” service that claims they can remove accurate information—they can’t.
