How do I send money or make a payment?

Updated June 18, 2026

You can send money a few different ways, depending on what you want to spend, and how fast you need it to get there.

Before you send a payment, double-check your payee’s details. The name, account number, and routing number should match their bank account exactly. Any mistakes can cause delays.

Electronic transfers: ACH transfers (free): Standard bank-to-bank transfers through the ACH network Timing: 2–3 business days

ACH Express (fee): Faster ACH with same-day delivery for a small fee

Domestic wires- Domestic wire transfers are currently available only to a selected group of eligible account holders. If eligible, you will see the wire transfer option under payment methods when adding or editing payee details. Until then you can send a wire through Wise.

International Wires: Novo doesn't support outgoing international wires. You can send an international wire through Wise or another third party to send wires.

Debit card and P2P payments: Use your Novo debit card with Venmo and Cash App

Timing: 1–3 business days

Mailed checks: Send a check directly from the Novo app, or we can mail it directly for you.

Delivery times at a glance: ACH: 2–3 business days Wire (via third party): up to 1 business day (2 for international) Debit/P2P: 1–3 business days Mailed check: 7–10 business days
