How do I close my account?
Closing your account is permanent and will immediately restrict you from using your account or moving money.
If you go ahead with closing your account, here's what to expect:
Cards and payments
Your Novo cards (including those for additional users) will be canceled right away and can no longer be used.
Any pending or scheduled ACH transfers that haven’t cleared will be canceled or returned as ""Account Closed.”
External connections
Any linked services (like Venmo, PayPal, or Stripe) will be disconnected from your account.
Remaining funds
Before closing your account, make sure to transfer out your remaining balance. If funds are still in the account at closure, our sponsor bank will issue a check and mail it to your business address on file.
Account access
Once your account is closed, you won’t be able to log in or access your account details, transaction history, or Reserves.
Statements and records
We recommend downloading your statements (PDF or CSV) before closing your account.
While records are retained for several years, accessing them after closure may require contacting support."
To close your account, contact Support from within the Novo app or web experience. Here's how:

Our team will help you with closing your account. Please note, we can't reopen an account once it's closed. But you're welcome to reapply for a new Novo account in the future.
