What is a wire?

Updated June 18, 2026

A wire transfer is a direct payment from one bank account to another.

Unlike ACH, wires don’t go through the ACH network. They’re processed separately and typically arrive faster, often in the same business day.

A few things to know: Wires usually have a fee (set by your bank) They move faster than standard ACH transfers They have fewer built-in safeguards than ACH

Wires: To send international wires, you can use Wise through the Novo platform, online or in the app, in Integrations.

Domestic wire transfers will be available soon. Until then you can use Wise integration.

For current fees, check the fee schedule.
