Why didn't I receive a text notification about my account?
The reason depends on the type of message you were expecting:
If you were expecting a transaction alert
Novo doesn’t currently offer built-in SMS notifications for everyday account activity (like deposits, withdrawals, or card transactions).
If you’d like to receive text alerts, you can set them up using a third-party tool like Zapier.
If you’re missing a security code (OTP)
If you didn’t receive a one-time password (OTP) for login, password reset, or another secure action, it’s usually due to a delivery issue.
Start with these quick troubleshooting steps:
Restart your device
Turn on airplane mode, restart your phone, then turn airplane mode off and request a new code
Resubscribe to SMS messages
Text START to +1 (844) 989-3200 to opt back in
(This number is only used for security codes, never marketing)
Check your connection
Make sure you have a strong signal and are using a U.S.-based number from a supported carrier
Wait and try again
Messaging delays can happen—wait about 30 minutes before requesting another code
Traveling outside the U.S.?
You can still receive one-time passwords if:
Your device was authenticated within the last 30 days
You’re using a U.S.-based phone number
Your mobile plan supports international SMS
Make sure data roaming or international roaming is turned on in your phone settings.
