Updated June 18, 2026

To meet UBO verification requirements, details must be provided for:
Each person who owns 25% or more of the business
One person responsible for managing the business (for example, a CEO or similar role)

Required information:
First and last name
Date of birth
SSN
Citizenship

Ownership percentage

Email address
Phone number
Personal address
Valid government-issued ID

Always make sure this information stays up to date to stay in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. If your account is set up as a sole proprietor or single-member LLC, you’ll need to update your business type on the account first:

1. Go to Account Info
2. Select Edit under Business Information
3. Choose Business Name and Type
4. Update your business type to LLC

After updating, you’ll be prompted to add ownership (UBO) details.

For all other business types:
1. Go to Account Info
2. Select Business Ownership Info
3. Click Manage Owner
4. Select Add Another Owner. If you don’t see this option, adjust existing ownership percentages so the total is below 100%
5. Enter the new owner’s details
6. Upload ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID)
7. Submit

Your request will show as In Review.

If it’s approved, you’ll get a confirmation email. You can also check the status in Business Ownership Info.
