Why are the delivery times different for Express and Standard ACH?

Updated June 18, 2026

Express ACH uses set processing windows throughout the day. When you send a transfer, it’s processed in the next available window.

Transfers sent earlier in the day may arrive the same day. Transfers sent later may arrive the next business day.

Standard (free) ACH follows a slower schedule and typically takes 2–3 business days.

Express ACH moves faster, with delivery in 0–1 business days depending on timing.
