Why was my ACH transfer returned?

An ACH return is similar to a bounced check. It happens when a payment or transfer is sent using bank account details, but the other bank sends it back. Common reasons include: Not enough money in the account A stop payment was placed The account or routing number was entered wrong

If a transfer you sent or received is returned, we’ll email you with the details. You’ll also see it in your account activity labeled “ACH return.”

If you still need to complete the payment, review the details and submit the transfer again.
