What is the identity verification process for check deposits?

To help keep your account secure, you may be asked to verify your identity before depositing a check.

1. Open the Novo app 2. Tap Move Money 3. Tap Deposit a Check 4. Follow the prompts to: Take a photo of your ID Take a selfie

Be sure to follow these best practices for taking photos.

For your ID: Use good lighting Show all 4 corners Use the same ID you used to open your account Sorry, but we can't accept photos of scanned or copied IDs.

For your selfie: Use good lighting Keep your face fully visible No hats or sunglasses

If we’re unable to verify your identity, we may reach out for more information. You won’t be able to deposit checks until verification is complete.
