What is a non-profit?

A non-profit is a business that operates for a charitable, religious, or educational cause, rather than to make a profit for its owners.

To apply for a Novo account as a non-profit, you must have already filed for and received 501(c)3 status from the IRS. We'll need to see your 501(c)3 document during the application process.

Since non-profits don't have traditional owners, you should list yourself as the controlling member, when the application asks about ownership.
