Why can’t I get the phone verification code to continue my application?
There are a few common reasons this can happen.
What to check first:
Restart your phone and reset your network
Turn on airplane mode, restart your phone, then turn it off and try again
Double-check your phone number and carrier settings
If your phone blocks certain messages, contact your carrier and ask them to allow messages from short code 58988.
Requirements to receive a code:
Must use a US cell phone number (from a major carrier)
Be in the US
You can't use a VPN
You can't use a VoIP or virtual phone number
If it still doesn’t work, wait 30 minutes and request a new code—sometimes delays can happen.
