How can I keep my account secure?
To keep your account secure and prevent unauthorized access, follow these best practices.
Don’t reuse passwords across accounts: Create a strong, unique password specifically for your Novo account to ensure a security breach on another website doesn't compromise your account details.
Never share your login details: Keep your username, password, and any verification codes completely private. Novo will never ask you for your password or verification (one-time password) codes.
Only log in through the official Novo app or website: And always make sure you're accessing your account directly through the app or our secure website, instead of clicking on links from external emails or text messages.
Turn on your device security: Make sure the phone or tablet you use to access the Novo app is protected by a passcode or biometrics (like fingerprint or facial recognition).
Monitor your account regularly: Keep a close eye on your transactions and balances so you can quickly spot anything unfamiliar.
Replace or lock your card if something looks off: If you notice any suspicious card activity or temporarily misplace your card, you can instantly replace or freeze it, from the app.
Avoid public or unsecured Wi-Fi: When managing money, try to use a secure, private internet connection. Public Wi-Fi networks can leave you vulnerable online.
Keep your device and apps updated: Regularly update your phone's operating system and the Novo app to make sure you have the latest security patches and protections.
